Life is a journey and most of us are all on a quest for the eternal truth. There are many ways leading us to the different versions of truth which are available according to the various philosophies of this world. But as it is said, a human heart can only be satisfied by the one who has created it. Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6). So, our quest for the eternal truth comes to a successful completion only when we come to know about our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ who is ‘the Way, the Truth and the Life’. JESUS CHRIST is not just the GOD of Christians, HE is the (Creator) GOD of this Universe and possess a name which is powerful enough to bring healing, joy, hope, knowledge and an ‘Awakening’ in our life.
So, what is AWAKENING? Awakening is our spiritual experience and journey with Jesus Christ which ultimately leads us from darkness to light, from despair to hope, from deception to knowledge, from sorrow to joy and from ignorance to wisdom. Ephesians 5:14 says, “…Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you”. Awakening is what makes us children of the light (Ephesians 5:8) and a completely new creation in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Awakening is a necessary step in our journey with Christ Jesus. It is a not a religious tradition or a sacred ritual. It is simply a relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Awakening is what leads us into a relationship and commitment with the Truth. Wisdom or Knowledge of the Truth is what sparks an Awakening in our heart and mind setting us free from age-old-beliefs, deceptions and false traditions. Awakening happens when we gain the true knowledge about the Truth which completely shakes our belief system and sets us free. The Bible says in John 8:32“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” An Awakening and enlightenment about the true knowledge of JESUS Christ as the Lord of the Universe and the Saviour of mankind, can set us free from every form of false traditions, wrong beliefs and evil bondage. True freedom is found in Christ alone.
To reach the stage of Awakening is not that easy because this world is full of deceptions. Awakening can only happen when we ‘Seek the Truth’ in GOD’s WORD by the mentorship and guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT. We cannot be awakened by the truth without the help of ‘the SPIRIT of TRUTH’ that is, the Holy Spirit. The Bible says in Zechariah 4:6 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty”. The Holy Spirit is our special God-sent-Mentor and Helper in these perilous end-times we are living in. Only the Holy Spirit can teach us and guide us to the treasures of the eternal truth hidden in the pages of the Holy Bible. That is why it is said that the Bible reads us more than we read it. The world’s all-time bestseller is our manual for true Awakening and is the key to our freedom from every form of evil bondage.
The Holy Spirit mentors us in our Spiritual Awakening… leading us into experiencing a blessed and victorious life with Christ JESUS. Awakening is what leads us from ignorance to wisdom and revelation strengthening us to stay alert and awake for the great day of our Lord. Awakening is what prepares us for the return of the Messiah. The Bible teaches us in Mathew 24:42, “Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming”. Awakening is what transforms us into a brand new powerful person where we start creating an impact in the life of others through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and win souls for the glory of His Kingdom. Awakening is the tool to win souls for His Kingdom because it creates in us a new heart, a sober mind and a prayerful nature which wages war in the heavenly places thereby transforming us into ‘End Time Warriors of Christ Jesus.' As the Bible says, in Luke 21:36, “But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Thus, Awakening is the need of the hour, for the day of the Lord is near! Let us be awakened to bring awakening in this world which is otherwise very broken, hopeless and dark. Let there be Awakening! Amen and Praise the LORD!
