God is a God of the Valleys

God is omnipotent! How dare we think that we know better than Him?

Isaiah 55:8-9 says that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. God feels so strongly about us understanding that He is not only a God of the Hills but also a God of the Valleys!

1 Kings 20:26-28

"The next spring Ben-Hadad mustered the Arameans and went up to Aphek to fight against Israel. When the Israelites were also mustered and given provisions, they marched out to meet them. The Israelites camped opposite them like two small flocks of goats, while the Arameans covered the countryside. The man of God came up and told the king of Israel, “This is what the Lord says: ‘Because the Arameans think the Lord is a god of the hills and not a god of the valleys, I will deliver this vast army into your hands, and you will know that I am the Lord.’”

The Israelites were outnumbered and yet He delivered this vast Aramean army into their hands! He wants to be known as a God of the Valleys! When all the odds are against us! When things in life do not look like they are going to work out! He is still God and He will deliver us! He is a God of the hidden things. A God of the unseen things! All the is required of us is to trust Him fully, walk by His Spirit and walk in obedience.

Psalm 23:4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me!” In today's world, crime is abundant. There is darkness at every corner! BUT GOD! We do not have to live in fear! We cannot let our lives be ruled by fear! No! It must be ruled by LOVE! Perfect love drives out fear! We must be so entangled with our God that nothing would waver us.

And finally, a valley in your life might be the death of a loved one, unemployment, financial trouble, broken relationships or any other hardship. God wants you to know HE is KING over it all. (In it and through it!) He never promises us ONLY wealth and riches. Even in the valley, He is still God. The bible is full of people who suffered; leaders who failed and yet unfulfilled their destinies/dreams! He wants us to know that He is God in the good and bad times!
