Too Late for a Miracle? Not a Chance.

They said it was too late. “Lord, if You had been here, my brother wouldn't have died.” — John 11:21

Martha and Mary weren't wrong. We've all said something like it. If God had shown up earlier, the job wouldn't have been lost. If He had moved faster, the diagnosis would've been different. If He had answered sooner, the relationship wouldn't have broken. If He had come before the grave… Lazarus wouldn't be dead.
That's the perception that buries so many of us: “Now it's too late for a miracle.” But here's the truth: Jesus is still doing the impossible in impossible situations. Jesus waited four days on purpose. He let the stone roll. He let the smell set in. He let hope run out. Not because He was powerless, but because He wanted everyone to see what He could do when nothing else could.
The sisters protested: “By now there's a bad odour.” Translation: “This is beyond repair.” Jesus replied: “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” Then He called from the grave: “Lazarus, come out!” No prayer marathon. No formula. Just a word from the One who's Lord over life and death.
What Lazarus teaches us: Man's timeline says, "too late." God says, "right on time for glory." The miracle didn't expire when Lazarus did. If Jesus had healed him on day one, people would've called it medicine. By day four, everyone knew it was God. Sometimes, He lets it become impossible so the testimony is undeniable. So can He do it? Can He restore what's dead? Speak to the dry bones in your career, your marriage, your faith, your health? Yes. Jesus is still doing the impossible, even in the most impossible situations.
The stone doesn't stop Him. The days don't limit Him. The odour doesn't offend Him. If you're standing at a grave today, listen. He's still calling things into being. He's still Lord of the impossible. “For nothing will be impossible with God.” — Luke 1:37
Prayer:
Lord, I've let the days convince me that You're not coming. Forgive me. Speak to what I've buried. Call it out. I'm watching for Your glory. Amen.
